Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, we are excited to continue building a thriving and inclusive community. At Liverpool Ark Discovery Centre, we aim to—empower individuals and families through education, skills development, social impact, and community engagement.

What’s Ahead in 2025

This year, we are introducing new initiatives while continuing successful programmes that make a lasting impact.

New Initiatives for 2025

✅ Food Bank Launch (January Onwards) – Providing essential support to individuals and families in need. Volunteers and donations are welcome!

✅ Health & Well-being Seminars (Ongoing Throughout the Year) – Covering mental health, physical wellness, and holistic living.

✅ Blood Donation Drive (TBA – Likely in the First Half of the Year) – Partnering with local health services to encourage life-saving blood donations.

✅ Board Game & Social Nights (Launching in Q2 – Monthly Events) – A fun, relaxed environment for people to connect, socialise, and build friendships.

✅ Seminars & Workshops on Buying a Home (Rolling Out in Q1 & Q2) – Covering everything from buying a starter home to investment properties and forever homes.

✅ BBQ Day (Summer 2025) – A community gathering filled with food, fun, and connection.

✅ Football Tournament with Local Teams (Summer 2025) – Strengthening community spirit through sports.

✅ Car Boot Sale (Launching in 2025 – Regular Events Throughout the Year) – Creating opportunities for the community to buy, sell, and connect.

✅ Fundraising Events (Throughout the Year) – Raising funds to support our community-driven projects and initiatives.

✅ Volunteering Opportunities (Ongoing Year-Round) – Encouraging individuals to get involved and make a difference.

Ongoing & Returning Programmes 

🔹 Football Academy (April – November) – Providing training and mentorship for young footballers.

🔹 Family Sports Day (Spring/Summer 2025 – Exact Date TBA) – Encouraging active lifestyles and community bonding.

🔹 Summer Internship Programme (June – August) – Developing leadership skills and career experience for young people.

🔹 Dance Classes & Events (Starting in Q2 – Continuing Throughout the Year) – Promoting creativity, fitness, and self-expression.

🔹 #WhatCanYouDo? (Quarterly Showcases – Starting in Q1) – Providing a platform to showcase talents, skills, and businesses within the community.

🔹 Operation Christmas Child (Starts in October, Collection Centre Open Until December) – Now an official collection centre, supporting children with essential items and gifts during the festive season.

🔹 Homeless Initiative (Winter Support – November & December, Ongoing Efforts Throughout the Year) – Expanding our outreach to provide essential support and resources for those in need.

Strengthening Community Partnerships

This year, we are continuing collaborations with Love Assembly Liverpool, #GOMAP, and other organisations to expand our impact and create sustainable opportunities for individuals and families.
