The internship program 2022 was set-up to train our young minds on work ethics, creating value to get money and time management. Interns were between the ages of 11 years to 15 years.
This program went through 3 stages: Recruitment, Real work and Completion:
Recruitment: We recorded a number of interests that went through an interview process. The interviewers ensured all interviewees acted accordingly as it’s expected in the real world of work in terms of appearance and punctuality. After this process, successful candidates were notified.
Real Work: The real work began on 25/07/2022 with a TEAMS meeting at 10am. All interns had a joint responsibility to assist with set-ups on Sundays in other to appreciate what happens behind the scene for our live services. They were supervised while ensuring all the facilities and equipment needed for the services were set-up appropriately.
During the week, they were tasked with respective trainings based on their interests and learnt how to stream events through our live streaming studio.
Completion: After a successful 4 weeks of training and learning, the interns gave their feedback:
“I enjoyed the fact that I was able experience more things behind the scenes and get more working opportunities”.
“I enjoy working online and in church. It’s very fun and it’s given me more experience (for) when I have a job when I’m older.”
“I enjoyed working together with everyone”.
Also, in the spirit of teamwork and as part of their PROJECT ISAIAH 60, the interns came up with the project- Family Sports Day.
